Uncommon breeder in King County lowlands. Uncommon and local on Whidbey Island with breeding confirmed only near Penn Cove. No BBA records from Kitsap County, although breeding predicted there by Washington Gap report (Smith et al. 1997). Fairly common locally in Kittitas Valley. Single record of midsummer pair at Sentinel Gap hints at limited breeding along Columbia River. Cinnamon Teal typically found in freshwater ponds and wetlands at low- and mid-elevation sites.
