Common and widespread at low and middle elevations throughout Kittitas County from steppe zones into lower dry-forest zones. No BBA records in Wenatchee Mountains at elevations above 3,200 feet, contra predicted range in Washington Gap report (Smith et al. 1997). In western counties, uncommon to locally fairly common at low elevations in open landscapes away from heavily developed urban areas. Utilizes variety of habitats, including towns, semi-rural residential, wetlands, steppe, agriculture, prairies, and clearcuts.
